division of the wapentake of STRAFFORTH-AND-TICKHILL,
West riding of the county of YORK, 85 miles
(S.W.) from Sheffield, containing 9113 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of York, endowed with £200 private benefaction,
£400 royal bounty, and £1700 parliamentary
grant, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Sheffield.
