ERWARTON, a parish in the hundred of SAMFORD,
county of SUFFOLK, 8 miles (S.S.E.) from Ipswich,
containing 157 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £ 10. 13. 4., and in the
patronage of Lady M. Chedworth. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary.
