ETTON, a parish in the liberty of PETERBOROUGH,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 7 miles (N. W. by N.) from
Peterborough, containing, with the hamlet of Woodcraft,
125 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough,
rated in the king's books at £9. 9. 9., and in the patronage
of Earl Fitzwilliam. The church is dedicated
to St. Stephen.
