FARLEY, a parish in the second division of the
hundred of TANDRIDGE, county of SURREY, Smiles (S.E.)
from Croydon, containing 84 inhabitants. The living is,
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Surrey, and
diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at
£4. 16. 5., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the
Warden and Fellows of Merton College, Oxford. The
church is dedicated to St. Mary.
