county of BERKS, 5 miles (S.) from Wantage,
containing, with the tythings of South Fawley and
Whatcombe, 21<2 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage
not in charge, in the archdeaconry of Berks, and diocese
of Salisbury, and in the patronage of Mr. and Mrs,
Wroughton. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
