FORNCETT (ST-MARY), a parish in the hundred
of DEPWADE, county of NORFOLK, 3 miles (W.N.W.)
from St. Mary Stratton, containing 274 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory, with the rectory of Forncett-St.
Peter united, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese
of Norwich, rated jointly in the king's hooks at
£20, and in the patronage of the Duke of Norfolk,
for a fellow of St. John's College, Cambridge. There
is a fair for toys on the llth of September.
