The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £7 3. 4., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. There is a place of worship for Particular Baptists. The Union canal runs through the village.
