FRISTON, a parish in the hundred of PLOMESGATE,
county of SUFFOLK, S miles (S.E.) from Saxmundham,
containing 452 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage
united to that of Snape, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £5,
and endowed with £ 200 royal bounty. The church is
dedicated to St. Mary.
