GAYDON, a chapelry in the parish of BISHOPS
ITCHINGTON, Kington division of the hundred of KINGTON.,
county of WARWICK, 3 miles (N. E.) from Kington,
containing 187 inhabitants. It is within the peculiar
ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Prebendary of Colwich
and Bishop's Itchington in the Cathedral Church
of Lichfield. The chapel is dedicated to St. Giles. The
inhabitants marry and bury at Chadshunt, which is a
parochial chapelry within the same parish.
