GLEMHAM (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of
PLOMESGATE, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (W. S. W.)
from Saxmundham, containing 413 inhabitants. The
living is a perpetual curacy, with the rectory of Little
Glemham, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese
of Norwich, endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £200 royal bounty. The church is dedicated to All
Saints.
