GOATHILL, a parish in the hundred of HORETHORNE,
county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (E.) from Sherborne,
containing 20 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese
of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at
£3. 11. 10. The Earl of Digby was patron in 1797.
The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
