GREETWELL, a parish in the wapentake of LAWRESS,
parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 2 miles
(E.) from Lincoln, containing 45 inhabitants. The living
is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of StoM, and
diocese of Lincoln, endowed with £600 royal bounty,
and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of
Lincoln. The church is dedicated to All Saints. The
river Witham bounds the parish on the south.
