HADDON (EAST), a parish in the hundred of NOBOTTLEGROVE, county of NORTHAMPTON, 7 miles (N. W.) from Northampton, containing 617 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's-books at £5. W. Sawbridge, Esq. was patron in 1814. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, is an ancient structure, having portions in the decorated style of architecture. There is a small provision for the education of children.
