HAUGHLEY, a parish in the hundred of STOW,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (N. N, W.) from Stow-
Market, containing 854 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury,
and diocese., of Norwich, rated in the king's books
at £7. 9. 2. The Rev. E. Ward was patron in 1812.
The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
