HAPPING, county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (N. by E.) from
Acle, containing 340 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£6. 13. 4., and in the patronage of the Bishop of
Norwich. The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
