HERRINGSWELL, a parish in the hundred of
LACKFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 3 miles (S. by.E.)
from Mildenhall, containing 215 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of
Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's
books at £9. 9. 9. H. Sperling, Esq. was patron in
1812. The church is dedicated to St. Ethelhert
