HOLBROOK, a parish in the hundred of SAMFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 5 miles (S. by E.) from Ipswich, containing 641 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Stafford, and djocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £11. 11. 3., and in the patronage of the Rev. J. B. Wilkinson. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The river Stour, which at flood tide is two miles across, bounds the parish to the south-east.
