HOLME, a chapelry in the parish of NORTH-MUSKHAM,
northern division of the wapentake of THURGARTON,
county of NOTTINGHAM, 4 miles (N. by E.) from
Newark, containing 114 inhabitants. This chapelry is
in the jurisdiction of the peculiar court of the Chapter
of the Collegiate Church of Southwell. The chapel, dedicated
to St. Giles, is a spacious edifice.
