HOMERSFIELD, a parish in the hundred of
WANGFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (S. w.) from
Bungay, containing 201 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £5. 6. 8.,
and in the patronage of Alexander Adair, Esq. The
church is dedicated to St. Mary. The parish is bounded
bii the north by the river Waveney, which separates it
from Norfolk.
