HUCKING, a parish in the hundred of EYHORNE, lathe of AYLESFORD, county of KENT, 7 miles (E. by N.) from Maidstone, containing 158 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, with the vicarage of Hollingbourn, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret. The village stands on the -ridge of a line of chalk hills, and was anciently called Honkynge, from its elevated situation.
