HUTTOFT, a parish in the Marsh division of the
hundred of CALCEWORTH, parts of LINDSEY, county
of LINCOLN, 4 miles (E.) from Alford, containing 401
inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £6. 11. 8., endowed with £600 royal
bounty, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Lincoln
by sequestration. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret.
