IDBURY, a parish in the hundred of CHADLINGTON, county of OXFORD, 5 miles (N. by W.) from Burford, containing 193 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, endowed with £ 16 per annum private benefaction, and £ 600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of F. F. Turville, Esq. There are vestiges of a large military camp near the turnpike-road from Stow on the Wold to Burford.
