IFTON, a parish in the lower division of the hundred
of CALDICOTT, county of MONMOUTH, 6 miles
(S.W.) from Chepstow, containing 50 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory not in charge, united to the rectory
of Roggiet, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff.
The church has been demolished.
