IMBER, a parish partly in the hundred of HEYTESBURY, and partly in that of SWANBOROUGH, county of WILTS, 4 miles (S. S. W.) from East Lavington, containing 414 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £300 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Marquis of Bath. The church is dedicated to St. Giles.
