IRSTEAD, a parish in the hundred of TUNSTEAD,
county of NORFOLK, 6 miles (E.) from Coltishall, containing
152 inhabitants. The living is a discharged,
rectory, with the vicarage of Barton-Turf, in the archdeaconry
of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in
the king's books at £6. 13. 4., and in the patronage
of the Bishop of Norwich. The church is dedicated to
St. Michael.
