KELSEY (NORTH), a parish in the southern division
of the wapentake of YARBOROUGH, parts of LINBSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 5 miles (W.) from Caistor,
containing 573 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and
Chapter of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £8,
endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £400
royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Prebendary
of North Kelsey in the Cathedral Church of Lincoln-.
There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
