KEMEYS-INFERIOR, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of USK, county of MONMOUTH, 3 miles (E. N. E.) from Caerleon, containing 109 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £6. 10. 5., endowed with £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Mrs. Rebecca Cotton. The church is dedicated to All Saints. The parish, which is bounded on the north by the river Usk, contains quarries of paving-stone and tile-stone.
