KETTLEBASTON, a parish in the hundred of COSFORD,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (N. W. by W.) from
Bildeston, containing 190 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£ 13. 6. 8. The Rev. Thomas Fiske was patron in 1801.
The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The children of a
Sunday school in this parish are partially clothed by
means of a small rent-charge.
