KINGSBURY, a parish in the Tamworth division of the hundred of HEMLINGFORD, county of WARWICK, 5 miles (N. by E.) from Coleshill, containing 1345 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Coventry, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry, rated in the king's books at £8. 10., endowed with £ 200 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church, dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul, has lately received an addition of one hundred and fifty sittings, of which one hundred are free, the Incorporated Society for the enlargement of churches and chapels having granted £ 100 towards defraying the expense.
