KINGSDON, a parish in the hundred of SOMERTON, county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (S. E. by E.) from Somerton, containing 536 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £27.3. 1. John Tucker, Esq. was patron in 1827. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Independents. The old Roman Fosse-way forms the south-eastern boundary of the parish.
