KINGSTON, a parish in the hundred of ERMINGTON,
county of DEVON, 3 miles (S.W. by S.) from
Modbury, containing 525 inhabitants. The living is a
perpetual curacy, annexed to the. vicarage of Ermington,
in the archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of
Exeter. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
The parish is bounded on the west by the
river Erme, and on the south by the English channel.
