a parish in the hundred of FISHERGATE,
rape of BRAMBER, county of SUSSEX, 1 mile (E.) from
New Shoreham, containing 56 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Lewes, and diocese
of Chichester, rated in the king's books at £12. 19. 2.
W. Goring, Esq. was patron in 1809. This place is
situated opposite to the entrance to Shoreham new
harbour, which bounds it on the south.
