LARLING, a parish in the hundred of SHROPHAM, county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (N. W. by N.) from East Harling, containing 171 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10. 0. 2., and in the patronage of N. W. Ridley Colborne, Esq. The church, which is dedicated to St. Ethelbert, presents a very fine specimen of early Norman architecture in the arch of the south porch.
