LEAVELAND, a parish in the hundred of FAVERSHAM,
lathe of SCRAY, county of KENT, 4 miles (S. by
W.) from Faversham, containing 69 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, with that of Badlesmere,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury, rated in
the king's books at £4, and in the patronage of Lord
Sondes. The church is dedicated to St. Lawrence.
