LLANGATTOCK, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of USK, county of MONMOUTH, containing, with the market-town of Caerleon, 1360 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £8. 1. 5., endowed with £250 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Chapter of Llandaff. The church is dedicated to St. Cadocus.
