LLANHILETH, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of ABERGAVENNY, county of MONMOUTH, 11 miles (W. by N.) from Usk, containing 438 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £7. 15. 7., endowed with £800 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Earl of Abergavenny. The church is dedicated to St. Iltyd. Coal is obtained in the parish.
