LLANVIHANGEL-near-ROGGIET, a parish in the
lower division of the hundred of CALDICOTT, county of
MONMOUTH,, 8 miles (S. W. by W.) from Chepstow,
containing 45 inhabitants. The living Js a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff,
rated in the king's books at £6.9:4,, and endowed
with £400 royal bounty. Sir C. Morgan, Bart, was pa-
tron in 1812. The church is dedicated to St. Michael.
