LUCKER, a chapelry in the parish of BAMBROUGH, northern division of BAMBROUGH ward, county of NORTHUMBERLAND, 4 miles (S. E. by E.) from Belford, containing 194 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, with that of Bambrough, in the archdeaconry of Northumberland, and diocese of Durham, endowed with £400 private benefaction, and £600 royal bounty. The village is situated on the western bank of the river Warn. There is a school supported .by donations amounting to about £ 5 per- annum.
