LUFTON, a parish in the hundred of STONE,
county of SOMERSET, 3 miles (W.) from Yeovil, containing
21 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the
archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells,
rated in the king's books at £5. 7. 8., and in the
patronage of John Phelips, Esq. The church is dedicated
to St. Peter and St. Paul.
