MABE, a parish in the hundred of KERRIER, county of CORNWALL, 4 miles (W.) from Falmouth, containing 457 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage not in charge, with that of Mylor, in the jurisdiction of the Consistorial Court of the Bishop of Exeter. The church, dedicated. to St. Mabe, has a lofty handsome tower crowned with pinnacles. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. An almshouse was erected with the sum of £200, the proceeds of a small legacy left to accumulate for the purpose.
