MABLETHORPE (ST-MARY), a parish in the
Marsh division of the hundred of CALCEWORTH, parts
of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 7 miles (N. E. by N.)
from Alford, containing 200 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, with which that of Stane is united, in the
archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at £ 17. 10. 2. Col. Waters and others were patrons
in 1824.
