MARSTON, a parish in the hundred of BULLINGTON, county of OXFORD, 1 mile (N. N. E.) from Oxford, containing 340 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, endowed with £400 private benefaction, £800 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Rev. T. H. Whorwood. The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas. The river Cherwell forms part of the boundary of this parish.
