MARTIN-in-MENEAGE (ST.), a parish in the
hundred of KERRIER, county of CORNWALL, 6 miles
(E. S. E.) from Helston, containing 504 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory not in charge, -with that of
Mawgan, in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese
of Exeter. Helford river is navigable on the north of
this parish. Tremayne was for some time the residence
of the circumnavigator, Captain Wallis.
