MEON-STOKE, a parish in the hundred of MEON-STOKE, Portsdown division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 4 miles (N. B. by E.) from Bishop's Waltham, containing 368 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with the perpetual curacy of Soberton, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the incumhent, rated in the king's books at £46. 2. 11., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Winchester. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
