MERRIOTT, a parish in the hundred of CREWKERNE,
county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (N.) from Crewkerne,
containing 1212 inhabitants. The living is- a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Taunton,
and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the kings
books at £11. 11. 5., and in the patronage of th<j
Dean and Chapter of Bristol. The church is dedicated
to All Saints.
