METHERINGHAM, a parish in the second division
of the wapentake of LANGOE, parts of KESTEVEN,
county of LINCOLN, 10 miles (N.) from Sleaford, containing
626 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the archdeaconry and. diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £8. 0. 10., and in the
patronage of the Marquis of Bristol. The church is
dedicated to St. Wilfrid. There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists.
