MICHAEL-CHURCH (ST.), a parish in the northern
division of the hundred of PETHERTON, county of
SOMERSET, 5 miles (S.) from Bridgwater, containing
50 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry
of Taunton, and diocese of Bath and Wells,
endowed with £800 royal bounty, and in the patronage
of Sir J. P. Acland, Bart.
