MORNING-THORPE, a parish in the hundred of
DEPWADE, county of NORFOLK, 2 miles -(E.) from St.
Mary Stratton, containing 160 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£7, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church
is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
