MOULTON, a parish in the wapentake of ELLOE,
parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 4 miles (W.)
from Holbeach, containing 1629 inhabitants. The living
is a vicarage, with the perpetual curacy of Chapel-
Moulton, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £28. 13. 4. The Rev. M.
Johnson was patron in 1780. The church is dedicated
to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan
Methodists. A free school was founded and
liberally endowed with lands, by John Harrox, in 1561.
