MULLION, a parish in the hundred of KERRIER, county of CORNWALL, 6 miles (S. by E.) from Helston, containing 692 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £9.4.4., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Exeter. The church is dedicated to St. Melan; its tower forms the most conspicuous object in this part of Cornwall. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The parish is bounded by the English channel on the west, where there is a small cove, convenient for fishing, which is the principal employment of the inhabitants.
